What to wear - Clothing & Footwear
Clothing
For all Dance Love Studios classes, we encourage clothes that you can move easily in and feel comfortable in. Dancewear or activewear works well.
Whilst some classes can be ok with "regular" clothes (e.g. Classic Movers), we do encourage you to wear something that you can associate with your "dance" time. Something that helps you to get into the mood of "I'm off to dance class"!

For Contemporary & Sassy Jazz, you may also want to consider knee pads (as we sometimes do floor work)
Footwear
For all classes, the following are good options:
- bare feet
- jazz shoes
- jazz sneakers (not regular sneakers)
- dance sneakers (not regular sneakers)
- dance socks (some dancers will find regular socks ok, but they can sometimes be slippery so should be used with caution)
- foot thongs
- contemporary half-shoe

Sneakers, unfortunately, are not a great choice for most Dance Love Studio classes. The grip on regular sneakers can actually put extra stress on knees and ankles during turning or twisting movements. They may be ok for some dancers for Classic Movers, but please be be aware to avoid excessive twisting.

If sneakers are required for health reasons, please ensure the soles are clean and not rough (nor too slippery!).
